Sunday Snaps:
Brotherly Love in Bali

0  3

Happy Sunday folks! I’m sitting in one of Ubud’s many trendy restaurants sipping a Caipirinha and soaking up the hippy-dippy (but amazing) vibes of this inland Balinese town. Things are hopping on this Sunday night, and I’m excited to announce a very special Sunday Snaps this week: the first ever Guest Photog edition!

All the photos this week were shot by my amazingly talented younger brother, Nick (of Nicholas Clay Photography, but you will never hear me call him Nicholas) who popped over from Australia where he’s been working for the last couple of weeks. Nick and I just spent a super fun week here in Bali soaking up the rays, checking out the beaches, exploring some waterfalls and rice terraces, dodging some very dodgy monkeys, and generally enjoying our very first time traveling together, just the two of us.

It was a packed week, which explains my absence from the blog the last seven days. I felt like my brother deserved my full attention, but don’t worry!  I’ve got loads of posts up my sleeve ahead as I round out my week here in Ubud before heading to Myanmar on Friday.

Happy Valentines Day, for those of you that are celebrating it! And for my cynical friends (and that is most of them….) I hope that you are enjoying a delicious cocktail somewhere and reveling in your independence. Despite being in a relationship, I’m falling in the latter category tonight, as my boyfriend is on the other side of the world.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have another Caipirinha to order. Have a great week, lovers.

Volcanoes and palm trees...Bali has a real mystical quality, which I had to admit I loved despite the over-touristy-ness of it all!

They may look cuddly, but the monkeys in Ubud's Monkey Forest are pretty vicious! I do like this photo Nick snapped of the mom pulling back the baby. Our Mom used to do the same thing when we got too rowdy. :D

Me when I realized these monkeys meant business, and were not against jumping on you and searching your bag and pockets for food!
