    Sunday Snaps
West Coast National Park Road Trip

Back in the rhythm of Sunday Snaps and feelin’ fantastic! Early this last week, I finished up an epic 7-day solo road trip where I hit 5 National Parks – Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Yosemite, Lassen Volcanic, and Crater Lake – hiking and camping in each one. My America The Beautiful National Park Pass finally paid for itself! I drove over 1750 miles, averaged 5 miles of hiking a day and even successfully backcountry camped solo for the first time in Yosemite, all in one week. It was a whirlwind trip, but just what I needed before I dive into another couple of really hard months work-wise.

So obviously, all the best pictures for this post came from the scenery explosion that was last week! Since I got back, I’ve been back at work while also planning the microadventures to tide me over on the occasional day off this month. I’m considering an indoor rock climbing lesson (I’ve always wanted to learn!) and/or an online salsa class – anything I can squeeze in as work starts to rev up again. Stay tuned for a longer post about the road trip.

    Have a great week everyone!

Yosemite Valley was the most beautiful place I’ve ever been, in terms of scenery. I can’t believe it took me so long to get there – I only live a 6 hour drive away!
Heading up the hill in Yosemite for my first solo backcountry camping night.
A gorgeous sunset just outside Yosemite.
