ADVENTURE: A 12 mile hike up to Echo Mountain and Inspiration Point

LOCATION: Alta Dena, CA
After last week’s successful 9-mile hike and the triumphant feeling it supplied me in the days following, I decided to follow it up with an even longer hike this week…..because, apparently, I hate my feet. They’d just begun to tolerate me again, and when I broke the news to them we’d be doing 12 miles this week, I’m pretty sure I heard a wretched, suicidal moan coming from my hiking boots. (more…)
